I am really looking forward to the new Sherlock Holmes movie. Okay, Holmes doesn't look like he does in my head, but I've accepted that they're never going to find anyone who does. And this movie at least appears to go to great lengths to show what an awesome, ass-kicking kind of guy Holmes was. He was a genius, of course, but he wasn't just cerebral; he could fence and fight and ride and play the violin, as well as consult as an expert on a huge number of subjects completely unrelated to crime fighting. I believe the term is "renaissance man." Most of the films have him walking carefully about solving crimes with brilliant insight, but not much else. It's nice to see one that shows him getting a little exercise.
