There is no subtlety, no depth, and no real plot, but there are a crapload of CGI snakes, a plane, and Samuel L. Jackson, who knows that the central idea of the film he's in is utterly ridiculous and cheerfully goes with it and plays it straight and well, making it even more entertaining than I thought it was going to be. The characters are 90% snake fodder, and are dispatched in every way the filmmakers could think of involving snakes and people's worst fears about them, most of which were so over the top I was laughing my head off. The snakes themselves are often absolutely unbelievable (A diamondback rattlesnake that moves like a sidewinder? A boa with three rows of teeth?
