So we're working on getting the Isle of Man trip in order for late September or early October. We're looking at staying a week, hopefully in what's referred to as "self-catering accommodations, " which are mostly small apartments or cottages rented weekly and equipped with a kitchen etc, as 1) I like to cook, and cooking most of the meals from scratch offsets expenses quite a bit, and 2) having our own little apartment for the duration somehow seems more cozy than a hotel. We should get to see most of the island over a week as it's only 33 miles long and has tons of trains. There's lots of open land and wilderness areas (the whole island is about two-thirds the population of Erie) and plenty of riding, hiking, sightseeing, and possibly even some fishing to be done. I'm really psyched; it's going to be awesome.
