Two-Sentence Movie Reviews

Horror Hotel/The City of the Dead

Repetitive, uninteresting, and not overly burdened with historical facts- for example, accused witches weren't actually burned in New England, and since this is *the* major plot point, it's a glaring oversight- with the addition of characters who are completely resistant to sense, scenes that are done several times over (driving to the village is shown four separate times) sets that have been repurposed from a Western film, and attempts to build atmosphere out of dim lighting and nothing else. And how useful is it to the evil characters that they're evil, anyway, considering their major superpower seems to be the ability to spend eternity in a crummy one-street burg?
