So I just found out through Kaja Foglio's Livejournal that Robert Aspirin unexpectedly passed away, on the 22nd.
He's always been one of my favorite authors, especially for the Myth Adventures of Aahz and Skeeve et al. They are an amazing amount of fun. From all accounts, the man himself was a wonderful guy as well. I'm not really sure what to say, other than he's going to be sorely missed by many, many people.

We've been engaged a year...

As an addendum, these photos are frickin' huge. If you're on dial-up, you may not want to click on them, unless you have something else to keep you occupied for the next twenty minutes.

...But I bet a lot of you will think these are neat. Five suits of armor from the Royal Armoury Museum in Leeds, UK. I put the description cards on the photos via photoshop; I had a mild bright spell in the museum and started taking photos of the descriptions as well as the exhibits themselves, knowing that I would never remember all that info.
Sorry it took me so long to put these up, bud, I've been meaning to for ages.
There's more, actually; these were the best, though. I'll be happy to make you up a CD if you would like.

"This city will always bug you, baby
I know for me it does the same
It's pretty I suppose from inside a plane
That's heading for another place
So wave and blow me one more kiss
You're a dead-eye, baby
You simply never miss
There's not much else as sweet as this
I waved so hard I broke my wrist
But don't act broken
Even when you're broken
It's just one of those things..."

#looking for a cottage to rent for our honeymoon...#
Duamuteffe: Hey, this one is really nice, it's right on the lake and- eh, never mind, they want $3150 for the week.
Owlvark: 3150? Dollars? Do we get to keep the house afterwards?

Why is it that whenever I find a movie that my little brother hasn't seen and absolutely needs to see, it always ends up being 2 am before we can even get together to start the bloody thing?
Right, off to watch Escape From New York.
