Here In Robot Hell - high bandwidth readers only, please, or I can't be responsible for what it does to your connection. From one of my favorite Futurama episodes, the Robot Devil gives Bender a taste of his forthcoming eternal torments- in song, no less.

So there was a pretty good sale at Michael's today, and although I went in originally for origami paper (didn't find any, either, grr...) I did, as usual, come out with about three times the amount of stuff I went after. I did get a couple of good things from the Christmas sales (a cool faux berry wreath and two lovely glass ornaments) and I found two scrapbooking albums on a good sale. I am not really much into scrapbooking, certainly not one of those people that will scrapbook every single episode of their life, from watching TV to walking down the street, but I've wanted to make a decent one for Cameron for quite a while, and the sale finally prompted me to do it (and the discovery of a good-sized album that was not a somber cover. WTF is up with all the charcoal/navy/black albums out there? I'm well aware he's gone, I don't need reminders...) Also, I got an oversized one for the eight months I spent in the UK, as I figure that was definitely an adventure worth recording. It'll give me something to do, which is good. Now, I have to go and print out about a hundred photos from Wegmans...

Okay, so I'm trying to update the Caerdon Heights blog, for those of you who play, but I'm getting some interesting error messages. I'll try again at some point. Now that the holidays are nearly over, everyone should have some extra time to get back into it.

I really need to get a new Slack shirt- my old one is now enshrined in my dresser drawer for the foreseeable future, seeing as it's been signed by Jerry and Bob 1.

So yes, Christmas went quite well, but today I received a Christmas card from a geographically distant aunt and uncle, and judging from the way they addressed it, no one's mentioned the divorce to them. (Neither, apparently, had anyone mentioned that I never changed my name in the first place, but that's beside the point.) At any rate, it occurred to me that there are no hard and fast rules regarding how you announce a divorce to relatives- marriages of course involve announcement cards, but if there's divorce cards out there, they don't advertise much. I assumed that the news would trickle down through the family, and to some extent it has, but apparently seven states is a little too far for it to travel. I guess I'll have to email; not sure how I'm going to phrase this one, but I'll figure something out.

Man, if they're this far behind, lord only knows how I'm going to tell them that I'm getting married again...

I've started to wonder if I'm entirely sane at the moment.

I'm sorry I'm whining. I will work harder.

"This city will always bug you, baby
I know for me it does the same
It's pretty, I suppose, from inside a plane
That's heading for another place
So wave and blow me one more kiss
'Cause you're a dead-eye, baby, you simply never miss
There's not much else as sweet as this
I waved so hard I broke my wrist
But don't act broken
Even when you're broken
It's just one of those things..."

Pics were up, but due to some odd problems with blogger, I took them down again. Will try again tomorrow sometime.
